More than 70 schoolchildren sang from the tower of Hull Minster to mark May Day.
Primary schools from across the city took part in the choral singing 150ft (45m) above the streets.
The ceremony was based on a 500-year-old tradition where the choir of Magdalen College in Oxford sing from the tower of the college.
The event was organised by Choral Humber.
