National Highways has released alarming footage captured by Warwickshire Police to coincide with the launch a new road safety initiative.
Drivers are seen eating fast food, using laptops and even applying make-up in videos shot from unmarked HGVs.
A multi-agency “week of action” is planned on the M6 in June, in order to tackle unsafe driving behaviours.
These drivers were caught by officers taking part in Operation Tramline, which was launched in 2015.
More than 46,150 offences have been recorded to date. The most common are not wearing a seatbelt (13,562) and using a mobile phone (11,965).
